This scholarship is available to graduating seniors who are exhibiting market animals at the 2024 Utah State Jr Livestock Show. This includes all species; beef, goats, sheep, and hogs. Scholarships will be presented at the awards jamboree during the stock show.

2023 Utah Registered Sheep Breeders Scholarship
This scholarship is available to graduating seniors (Class of 2023) who have an interest and involvement in the sheep industry. At least one $500 scholarship will be awarded. Application deadline is June 1, 2023.

2023 UTAH STATE FAIR
JR LIVESTOCK BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is available to a graduated senior (Class of 2023) in each of the four market livestock species exhibited at the 2023 Utah State Fair: beef, goats, sheep and swine. There will be a $1000.00 award given to the winning applicant in each species. Scholarships will be presented immediately prior to the start of the Jr. Livestock Auction at the Fair. Youth Pork Ambassador Application is now available.
Along with the Ambassador portion, this scholarship program teaches leadership skills for up to 4 recipients.

A recent study from Colorado State University measured the monetary value of having BQA certification on beef operations. Research was conducted to determine how a BQA Certification listing affected the sale price of beef calves and feeder cattle marketed through video auctions. The Triple Crown is a prestigious award given to a three-year-old Thoroughbred who wins a triplet of prestigious races. The Kentucky Derby, The Preakness, and finally the Belmont Stakes. This is so difficult that only 13 horses have ever achieved such an honor.
